Give Today,
Tankokai is the Urasenke membership organization set up by the 14th generation Grand Tea Master, Tantansai. Urasenke Seattle Chapter was founded in 1971 and was renamed Chado Urasenke Tankokai Seattle Association (commonly called Tankokai Seattle Association) in 2005 to align with the worldwide Tankokai organization. Seattle Association obtained a non-profit charitable organization status in 2008.
We promote a better understanding and appreciation among local and global communities of the rich culture and spirits of Japan through the art of Chado (traditional Japanese “Way of Tea”).
Please consider donating to Tankokai Seattle Association, so that we can together experience and promote beautiful cultural heritage of Japan through Chado.
Thank You!
